My research is focused on the application of Nanotechnology and Biotechnology for the creation of (bio)analytical devices and (bio)remediation technologies. In the area of analytical devices we are interested in developing Nano-Bio-Field Effect Transistors based on conducting polymer and semi-conductor one-dimensional nanowires functionalized with various biomolecules, antibodies, receptors, binding proteins and nucleic acids for rapid, sensitive and selective label-free detection of the corresponding targets for applications in Homeland Security, Food Safety, Environmental Monitoring and Health Care.
